Closed but Avenue Subs manager helped us with Mr C's ice cream an absolute champ!

Best shakes in the road to the Keys, and pretty good service as well.

Tasty ice cream, unique flavors. But Mr. C could use a little help, he was pretty harried trying to make the ice cream AND sell it. "NO SAMPLES" is pretty off-putting and the whole experience not the fun "Let's get ice cream!" visit that it should have been.

The Gelato barely tasted like anything at all. If you focus really hard, you can taste the flavor. Didn't get to try the sorbet or ice cream because he doesn't allow samples.

A must stop location if your ever in the Florida keys! Best ice cream and gelato around!

Drove down to Key Largo for the day, when we were driving back up, we saw Mr C's and stopped in. It is hands-down the best ice cream I've ever tasted. You can taste the fresh made brownies in the chocolate fudge brownie. It actually tastes like real ingredients not fake syrup. I've never tasted anything like it. The owner is the sweetest lady and is so passionate about her ice cream.

The ice cream was excellent I also recommend trying the sherberts.Everything was homemade and was his own recipe 10/10 recommend

This is an experience. If you snorkel you go see the christ of the abyss if you dive you do the Duane and Spiegel, if you kayak you get lost in largo sound. After it all, we get Gelato at Mr. C for the freshest and most natural ice.

Great Icecream

You need to go here and have the key lime pie a la mode! Everything is literally home made. The award winning key lime pie itself, the key lime pie ice cream scooped on top. The hot fudge, yep, home made. Then whipped cream and a cherry on top that has not been soaked in high fructose corn syrup. This dessert is worth every calorie! (And for those who just want ice cream - there a lots of flavors, and even the cones are home made!)

The best icecream and mango ice around. The quality is outstanding. The down side is that their hours are hit and miss. Twice we have driven there from Miami and they are closed. It really sucks driving all that way with 2 hrs to spare and the place is closed 🤬🍦😔

Once I tried to go here with my mother, who has a bit of a sweet tooth. It said it would be open in Google Maps, but it was closed.

Stopped for subs next door and saw their sign said open until 10. Drove all the way down there from the hotel later that night and it was closed by 845. Very disappointing.

The owner is rude and has no sense of customer service. Ice cream is average, you can get just as good at a grocery store.

Best ice cream in The Keys. Mr C makes the ice cream in-house the old fashioned way. Lots of flavors. Delicious, very creamy and special add-ins. Great key lime tarts as well, which are decadent in a sundae. Some people say he's cranky, but that's just when they slow things up. He's a one man show with a line out the door. No "scoop" for you!

Very good ice cream and Italian Ice, but the Key Lime pie is where it is. Mr. C makes it there himself, so if you can’t get to Key West, get your KLP at Mr. C’s.

Pretty good ice cream and gelato. Pretty much the only game in town for this part of the keys for home made ice cream. The owner has been doing this for a long time and it shows. Off puttingly grumpy to the point of being surley. If you go in with low expectations regarding service but high expectations regarding ice cream you won't be dissapointed.

The ice cream is a 5. The owner was the one working the counter. I'm sure he's a great guy and he can make some awesome ice cream, but I'm not so sure he should be the one selling it.
